Default Romans 11
Well, since I have been branded a Jew who says he is a Christian on a supremacist site I have written my Rabbi acquaintance to see if I can get a certificate making me an honorary Jew since to the best of my knowledge I am not of Jewish descent, but some things point to the possibility.

My Mom was not Jewish and that is how many Jews many now define themselves. As long as Mom was a Jew so are you. Oddly, that is opposite of ancient Judaism who traced their tree and rights to inheritances through the father. I suspect that may have come about during a time when many Jewish women were raped by some army or hate group and the father was unknown thus to not penalize the children who were not at fault, Mom became the deciding factor and it stuck. I will see if my Rabbi friend can shed some light on that.

Aslo, I have decided on preaching Romans 11 tonight. We did the Father's Day ritual this morning so I figured we could back to normal business. ;-)

What did you preach on this morning for Father's Day? Our pastor preached on being a man - according to the Bible, not society. He didn't get through his entire message. We couldn't stay for the afternoon service, so I don't know if he finished it or if he was going to continue in Philemon and finish the morning message next week.

Honorary Jewish designation - that would be pretty cool

Senior Pastor did the Sunday Morning message. I am not one that likes to be tied to the calendar if I would have preached I might not have done a Father's Day sermon.

the only reason he did (and it ended up being a full three week series) was because we were between series on Mother's Day so he preached on Proverbs 31.

Yep, done that one. I am just not a traditionalist so it works good for me sometimes to be the second lad and not tied to a calendar. My next Sunday AM service is the 13th so I won't have to do a 4th sermon. Besides we are all in rebllion anyway so I should do a Gos Save the Queen message. ;-)
