Default August
Come August 13th, I will be able to retire from my secular job. My Boss is trying to get me promoted hoping I will stay three more years and I have people pleading with me not to retire. That is nice, but I have been bivocational for three decades and I would like to be full time before I check out or the Rapture.

I was hoping to come on board where I am but with a new building and a youth pastor there is no salary for me unless our membership doubles in the next few months. The Senior Pastor would love to have me but unfortunately my retirement won't be enough to live on so I need a salary. I have no debts except for my house and I only owe $22,000 on it. I have tried to keep my debts low so that I could take a smaller church.

I will be 56 in Sept and when I turn 60 I will start drawing my Army retirement, which means I may be able to take a cut in salary from the church at that time.

I need prayer for discerment. If I am to remain bivocational until death or at least until I am 60 I need to know or I will need His place here in the Metroplex. That will be a miracle as well since there are few KJV churches around here and most are very small.

I have put a couple of resumes out and since pulpit committees are not noted for speed those may have been excellent timing. ;-) I would also like prayer for greater holiness and power to preach the Word to edify the saints and win some lost whole there is still time.

Thanks y'all!

PS

If you know of any churches in the area that need someone to fill the pulpit from time to time or can't afford to have someone come in for a revival I would be glad to do so pro bono. If you want to take me to Souper Sald that will be fine but ice tea will be appreciated. ;-)
