For your consideration...
I don't know what else to do but continue to ask for prayer from the brethren. We are a small assembly (5 faithful at the moment) who are praying for a pastor, hopefully one is burdened for lost souls.
As I've said elsewhere, this rural area is heavily populated with the Oneness sect. I think one of the reasons so many are caught-up is they are tired of the loose teachings of the local Baptist churches and these groups offer a sense of 'holiness'. Besides our small assembly, they are the only 'churches' using the kjBible, exclusively. How ironic. Satan is smart.
We are a mix of Missionary Baptist (ABA) and SBC background, having gone totally independent (and unregistered) in 2000. An arm of fellowship was extended to us from a church of like-faith in Indiana and our former pastor (who is also our son-n-law) was ordained by them. We had a lovely time serving the Lord in one accord until about a year or so ago... Then pastor and our daughter (who obeys her husband) moved to a mountaintop in PA, having joined a group of Anabaptist in the Street Preachers Fellowship organization.
We still meet regularly in our home, with my husband bringing the devotions. My grandsons recite Bible verses and sing a song or two, having taught themselves the guitar and piano. We rarely go on the streets because of circumstances. We desire to stay together as Olde Liberty BC. There are 3 young people who want to come, but at this time, we feel it unwise. They have chunked out their niv, PTL.
Thanks to all who would pray for us.
